Acts 29 Prayer Ministry
The book of Acts is a history of the workings of the Holy Spirit and a testimony to the limitless power which has been made available to those who trust God. Of all the books in the Bible, Acts is the only one without a definite ending. It seems that the 28-chapter book of Acts is not finished because God intends each local church to continue in the same manner and ministry to the world.
Acts makes it clear that God has a purpose for His people and a plan for them to follow. As we discover what God did in the early church, we also discover what He does in and through us today. What happened in Acts is happening today and can happen in our church. The Acts 29 Prayer Ministry is an opportunity to pray daily in your home for Asbury - the same prayers that others in this ministry are praying on the same days. Use the Acts 29 Prayer Guide to get started.
Acts 1:14 says, "They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers." Matthew 21:22 says, "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
As we pray of one mind and purpose, we are interceding for God's will to be done and for His Kingdom to come to our church.
The Acts 29 Prayer Ministry also puts out a Prayer Emphasis Sheet every five to six weeks to ask the congregation to pray for the different aspects of Asbury.
