Alpha/Alpha Sprouts
Got questions? We’ve got answers.
We’ll start by discussing: Christianity: Boring, untrue and irrelevant?
Alpha is a place with a non-threatening atmosphere where people really care for you. It’s a place where no question is seen as too simple or too hostile. It’s a place where you can get solid, meaningful answers to your questions.
Perhaps you are a new Christian, or maybe you are just interested in exploring Christianity. No matter what your age, you may come to listen, learn, laugh, discuss and discover.
The Alpha course is for everyone!
Alpha meets every Tuesday night from 6:30pm-8:45pm from Sep. 16 - Nov. 18, 2008 in the Community Life Center. You are welcome to join us at any time.

What happens at Alpha?
After a great meal, we’ll watch a video from England by Nicky Gumbel and discuss things like:
- Who is Jesus?
- Why did Jesus die?
- Why and how should I read the Bible?
- Why and how do I pray?
- What about he Holy Spirit?
- How can I overcome evil?
- Why and how should I tell others?
- Does God heal today?
- What about the church?
There is low-key dialogue with an opportunity to ask any question or talk about issues that we all face every day. There is no commitment and no course cost, but meal donations are accepted. There will be an optional adult overnight retreat Oct 24/25 with a cost of $25 to cover expenses, but scholarships are available if needed. (Some say this is the highlight of the course.)
We now offer Alpha Sprouts for kids aged 5-12. Although they will meet in a different room from the adults, they will learn about the same subjects presented on their level. What a great opportunity for families to share in the Alpha experience together! For children under age 5, childcare is provided free of charge.
