Summer 2009 Fun Events

Our programming team is excited to provide fun events for our kids and our families this summer. We have intentionally planned some activities to provide you with a good reason to spend time together with friends and with your family. We’re sure you will want to invite your friends and neighbors too. See you this Summer!

If the event needs a registration form they will be available in Children’s Ministry or under form downloads.

Roller Skating Day
Broken Arrow Roller Sports, 551 West Oakland Place (Elm & the BA)
Monday, June 29th
1st – 6th grade (or younger if accompanied by an adult)
1pm to 3pm
$7/person
Get rollin’ with Asbury! Meet your friends or bring some along to get out of the heat and skate the day away! Asbury has the whole place to ourselves! Admission is $7 per person and includes your skates, a drink, and an ice cream treat! Forms may be completed in advance or at the skating rink. Free Family Game Night in the CLC
Thursday, July 9th
6pm – 8pm
Let’s play some Bingo! Come enjoy this free family night out and play a game with your kids! We’ll have prizes for our Bingo winners. This would be a fun event to bring some friends along with you. Toddler n’ Me
Children’s 2nd Floor Gathering Area

2 & 3 year olds
Cost - $3/child and Adults are Free
Toddler n’ Me is s special time for a parent and/or grandparent and their two and three-year olds to enjoy activities designed for everyone to have lots of fun just being together! Nursery will be provided for younger (over 6 weeks) and older (up to 6th grade) siblings. Cost is $3/child to help cover supplies. Please register in advance to help with planning for supplies. Mega Movie Morning

Thursday, July 16th
4year olds – 6th graders
10am to Noon
Take one..... and Action….. Come join us in your pajamas for a morning of movies. We will be offering 3 movie choices and have a concession stand open for your favorite snacks. All of our 4 year olds to 6th graders plan on bringing a few dollars to buy some yummy snacks and a pillow to sit back and enjoy some great flicks with all of your friends. Family Bowling Night
Broken Arrow Lanes, 111th and Elm
Wednesday, July 22nd
6:15pm to 8:30pm
$7/person
Come for a fun filled two hours of family bowling that the whole family can participate. The cost is $7.00 per person including shoe rental. Concessions will be open. Please plan on coming a little early to insure a lane for you and your family as we are only able to accommodate about 125 people. See you there! Family Talent Show

Asbury’s Got Talent! Calling all families… We are showcasing some of the amazing talent we have here at Asbury. We welcome all family and solo talent. This is a great family event for all of us to enjoy with a concession stand open for business. Each act needs to complete a registration form in advance and remember that all contents of the act and costumes must be church appropriate. And if you have no talent you want to share, it would be a great time to sit back and enjoy the show; our performers would appreciate an audience!
