Discipleship at Asbury - Steps to Connect
We want everybody at Asbury to get involved in discipleship and to make it easy, we’ve created steps to help you! Start with worship and then put on your calendar to attend the Newcomer Meal. When you are ready, go visit our Adult Discipleship Communities to see which one is the right fit for you.
Step One: Worship
“Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.” – 1 Chronicles 16:29
We believe worship is central to being a follower of Jesus Christ and a vital part of our relationship with God. Worship is mentioned more than 8,600 in Scripture. At Asbury, we worship together in unity and offer many opportunities for you to join in! We strive to provide an atmosphere of worship with moving, modern worship services, traditional service with an amazing choir and orchestra, and the latest in environmental projection to bring the music and the Bible alive. We also worship in song, while honoring our ancient faith tradition with the Apostles Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, baptism, and weekly Communion. We always spend time in prayer with our Heavenly Father, too! Choose a service time and style that’s right for you, then join us as we rejoice what He is doing in our lives.

Step Two: Newcomer Meal
We would love for you to join the Asbury family! The Newcomer Meal is hosted by Senior Pastor Tom Harrison and introduces you to our missions, sacraments, and membership vows.
When you join Asbury, you will be asked to commit to upholding the church with your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Register for the Newcomer Meal today at asburytulsa.org/newcomermeal or stop by the Guest Services Desk. Questions? Contact Michelle at or 918.392.1122.
Step Three: Adult Discipleship Communities
At Asbury, we love living “life together.” Joining an Adult Discipleship Community group will help you develop a close personal relationship with Jesus through prayer, fellowship, care, hospitality, biblical learning, and missional outreach.
