Series: Year Through the Bible
There’s this great encounter we read about in Joshua chapter 5: Joshua is about to lead the people into battle when he sees a strange figure...
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
– John 3:16 ESV
We understand choosing funeral and cemetery arrangements is one of life’s most difficult decisions. To ease your stress, we are honored to offer your loved one a permanent resting place at our Columbarium. Surrounded by a beautiful garden – filled with shady trees, beautiful flowers and comfortable benches – this sacred, peaceful area allows space for prayer, quiet time and funeral/inurnment services. Each niche is faced with commemorative granite panels, which can be engraved with family names, birthdays and death dates.
Our Columbarium is a burial wall containing cremation urns. The word “columbarium” comes from the Latin word “columbary,” meaning “structure for the nesting of doves.” Considering the dove is a biblical symbol of God’s Spirit and peace, we hope our Columbarium will be a place of peace for your loved one and your family.
Asbury Church recognizes cremation as an acceptable way to honor your deceased loved one, as it advances the natural process that occurs following death and is widely acknowledged theologically.
