YOUNG ADULTS

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and Lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your soul.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30

We believe 18 to 35 year-olds are crucial to the continuation of sharing the Good News with ALL believers.

Asbury’s Young Adult Ministry is passionate about coming alongside you in your pursuit of a personal relationship with Jesus. While many believe that churches across the nation are withering away, we care deeply about your spiritual development and provide many opportunities to join authentic communities tailored specifically to young adult needs.

A different type of Bible study, this new and exciting group is an opportunity if you’re a twenty-something that doesn’t feel like you fit into any of the traditional Church classes, Bible studies, programs, or groups. Craft supplies, a tea station, and more are in store for you while living in fellowship with one another and developing a personal relationship with Christ.

College Students

Going away to college is exciting and terrifying all at the same time! Our Asbury family would love to stay in touch with you to cheer you on as you begin your collegiate career. Wherever you chose to land, we hope to help you get connected into a church, ministry, or meaningful Christian community. Back at Asbury, we’ll continually pray for you and keep you in the loop about everything happening back home.

Campus Visits Melissa travels to OU and OSU twice a semester—generally the first week of classes in the fall and the week before dead week in the spring. Her trips always involve coffee, food, and ice cream with everyone who would like to join. Occasionally, she brings high school seniors and the Asbury Students staff for a big dinner in October and again in April. Be sure to watch for updates about when Melissa is headed your way!

Graduation Celebration Graduating from college is a BIG DEAL and worthy of celebration. Meeting throughout the week in group members’ homes, the only goal of these groups is to provide a safe space for genuine Christian fellowship alongside like-minded people. Through guided discussions, you will get to know one another while reflecting on Sunday’s sermon and diving deeper into how the main topic relates to your life. Each group picks the day, time, and place that works best for them. There is a spot in one of our groups waiting for you!
