We humans were not made to do life alone – the beginning of Genesis is a testament to that. God created us to be in relationship with both Him and one another. Joining a Discipleship Community at Asbury fulfills God's intention of relationship and community for us.
Simply put, we love living life together at Asbury. Joining a community within Asbury is the perfect way to connect into the life of the Church, continue growing in your relationship with Jesus and have a genuine support system with fellow believers.
As a multi-generational church – no matter what age, life stage or point in your relationship with Jesus you're in – you belong here and we have a community for you. Each community is unique, yet provides opportunities to learn, laugh, serve, pray, cry, celebrate and have fun with one another. At the end of the day, you'll truly be able to call your Discipleship Community your Asbury family.
Explore the options listed below and find a place to connect. You'll grow your faith, draw closer to Him, and strengthen your ability in Helping Others Follow Jesus.

We are a community of believers formed around service to others, specifically students and college ministries. We are very active with our kids in leading Asbury Students' small groups, traveling with them on mission trips, sending goodie bags to our college kids, having prayer breakfasts and doing service projects together ( just to name a few of the things we do). One of our favorite service projects each year is Special Olympics. We do everything from starting the events and timing the athletes, to passing out ribbons. We are also dedicated to assembling holiday meals, sorting gifts for the Youth at Heart families and participating in Asbury’s Day of Service. We also have several men’s and women’s small groups that meet weekly. We are very fortunate that John and Marti Curzon are our class teachers. They always have a great Scripturally-based lesson to share with us each week. Please come join us!

Praise & Worship
Meet Every Sunday, 9 am at Asbury's Room 1504
Come grow with this blend of singles and couples, with ages ranging from early-60s to late-70s, interested in discovering God’s teaching relevant to discipleship, family and missions. Responding to God’s call on our lives, we mix fun social events with local outreach programs and Asbury ministries. A song of praise begins each Sunday session, while we close with a circle of prayer time.
Praise & Worship is based upon the precept found in Acts 4:32 ~ to be a congregation of believers with one heart and soul. We are serious about our commitment to supporting one another and are equally committed to serving those in need outside our community. We appreciate the gift of laughter and we love to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

We also provide breakfast each Sunday morning. As our roots grow deeper into Christ, we are able to experience the fullness of God (Colossians 2:6-7 & Ephesians 3:17-19). Meet Every Sunday, 7:45 am at Asbury's Room 2500
This class focuses on members’ common interest in the inductive form of Bible study, with interactive teaching that is always open to questions and group discussion. We study complete books of the Bible with an emphasis on answering these three questions:
- What does the passage say?
- What does it mean?
- How is that meaning to be lived out in our daily lives?
If dedicated learning of Scripture is important to you, give us a try. This is what makes us unique. We also place strong emphasis on missions and actively support an indigenous pastor and his ministry in Myanmar. We are mostly people with grandchildren; both singles and couples.
Meet Every Sunday, 9 am at Asbury's Parlor

Class dynamic includes many life stages – nuclear, blended and single family homes, most with children, ranging in age from birth to young adults.
