AsburyKids Intern
The AsburyKids Intern will assist the Asbury Kids Ministry to equip and encourage elementary children and families. This position is responsible for helping to prepare weekly ministry programs, preparing, and teaching lessons, organizing, and preparing for annual ministry events and caring for students.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Observe Asbury’s core behaviors be eager to grow, seek to understand, and take initiative by leading with love.
- Maintains personal spiritual development through bible reading, prayer and Christian community.
- Follows the ministry vision, instruction, lesson plans, and schedule put forth by your AsburyKids Director.
- Prayerfully leads a small group of children, possibly with the aid of Asbury volunteers, by facilitation trust and relationships, guiding conversations, following lesson plans, and facilitating the prepared crafts or activities.
- Be willing to “float” to different classrooms or small groups without adequate staff or volunteers, at the discretion of your AsburyKids associate.
- Provides safe, age-appropriate care which may include assisting with bathroom needs, maintaining a safe environment managing behavior, calming crying and or upset children, sitting/playing/interacting with children through games, play, bible stories, guided small group conversation, prayer, crafts, and worship.
- Reviews and be familiar with the month’s ministry-related curriculum, themes, and goals, and the day’s small group lesson plan.
- Participates fully in the AsburyKids ministry worship service, singing and using song motions and managing children's behavior throughout.
- Prayerfully engages with children in a positive, nurturing, sensitive and Godly manner.
- Builds relationships with children by learning their names, likes and dislikes, and personality as quickly as possible.
- Builds positive relationships with volunteers ranging in age from young teens to senior adults.
- Builds relationships with parents by warmly greeting them, learning their names, and exuding positivity and confidence as they transfer their child into the classroom.
- Kees classrooms clean and organized all throughout the morning, and complete proper sanitization procedures when applicable.
- Be prepared and ready to care for children in emergency situations (fire, tornado, injury, choking, etc.).
- Deals with child disciplinary issues, sickness, separation anxiety, etc. In your classroom and reports all incidences to your AsburyKids Associate.
- Assists with all check-in and out procedures as directed by your AsburyKids Associate.
- Maintains a high standard of punctuality, regarding attendance and tardiness.
- Keeps all concerns or issues with a child or family in strict confidence and away from other staff, volunteers, or families.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

- Must have vision and a demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate, manage, and implement within the parameters of a theologically conservative church.
- Certification in basic first aid, including child/infant CPR or must be willing to become certified.
- Childcare experience.
- A heart and passion for children.
- Above average soft, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with little oversight.
- Must be adaptable to quickly changing situations.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all circumstances.
- Must be able to work with all levels of clergy, leadership, and staff effectively.
- Must be available outside of scheduled work time to complete projects if required.

ASBURY STUDENTS INTERN
The Asbury Students Intern will assist the Asbury Students Ministry team to equip and encourage 6th-12th grade students to live life with Christ. This position is responsible for helping to prepare weekly ministry programs, preparing and teaching lessons, organizing and preparing for annual ministry events, and caring for students.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Observe Asbury’s core behaviors: be eager to grow, seek to understand, and take initiative by leading with love.
- Helps plan and facilitate weekly Sunday morning and Wednesday night ministry programming.
- Arrives early to scheduled ministry events until all attendees have left.
- Works together to utilize gifts and talents of entire student ministry team, as well as other ministry staff members and cultivates/maintains a teamwork environment.
- Ensures that all possible safety and security measures are taken at every event (i.e. background checks for volunteers and ALERT team members are available etc.)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS JOB
- Be available to students in a variety of ways and in varying times of need (i.e. lunch at school, attendance at extracurricular activities, times of crisis, etc.)
- Remains aware of the changing interests and attitudes of the student population and addresses any issues one on one or in a group setting.
- Other duties as assigned.

ASBURY EXPERIENCE INTERN
JOB SUMMARY:
The Asbury Experience Intern will work closely with the Asbury Experience Team on Sundays and throughout the week during their internship. This person will have the opportunity to gain insight into how Asbury Experience plans weekly worship events by participating in the planning, coordinating, and executing of events. This position will also be responsible for learning how to prepare and plan for summer special events while observing the ins & outs of weekly worship events, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Observes Asbury’s core behaviors: be eager to grow, seek to understand, and take initiative by leading with love.
- Assists and serves with the Guest Services team in set up and preparation of weekly events.
- Supports execution of summer special events, such as: Bibles & Blessings, VBS, Americana Concert, Newcomer Gathering, Nights of Worship.
- Observes the different areas of the Asbury Experience team with day-to-day ministry execution.
- Observes, supports, and serves the different ministries of Asbury to achieve excellent experiences with the summer programming.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS JOB:
- Be available to Asbury ministries in a variety of ways and in varying times of need (i.e., Wednesday night dinner, Modern worship, College Ministry, etc.)
- Attends Asbury Experience weekly meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

Media Intern
The Video Intern is responsible for assisting with all video and media needs of the church, especially Sunday mornings. They will be present for services and occasionally rehearsals as needed to assist with all manner of media tasks, including but not limited to switching and camera operation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Observe Asbury’s core behaviors: be eager to grow, seek to understand, and take initiative by leading with love.
- Executes the technical functions of the video switcher for Sunday morning worship services.
- Plan, blocks and directs camera shots to create live video content for both the in-house
- congregation and online viewers that is both aesthetically pleasing and smooth from a
- production standpoint.
- Assists in the training of camera operators.
- Works well alongside the ProPresenter operator to ensure proper execution of video content is being displayed.
- Works well under the Service Producer.
- Assists in camera equipment maintenance as well as color matching and general video engineering tasks. Is able to work 7am-12:30pm every Sunday.
- Is able to work occasional Tuesday nights with full video and camera crew, for rehearsal, practice and training purposes.
- Displays leadership qualities including problem solving, working well under pressure, humility, kindness, and high-quality execution of the tasks at hand.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

- Previous employment at a recording studio or other video, audio visual departments is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in fast paced environment. Must be a self-starter and able to work with little oversight.
- Must be adaptable to quickly changing situations.
