Apostles Creed

by Kylee Eden
We like to say the Apostles Creed regularly as a congregation at Asbury. It is so key to our lives as believers because throughout the week, we are hearing different viewpoints and beliefs. We are being shouted at from a million different directions on how we should think – that this is fact, this is fake and so forth. The experience of coming together in a room full of fellow believers and saying this historical Creed together – that we believe in God the Father Almighty; that we believe in the forgiveness of sins; that we believe in the resurrection of the body – is powerful. If you’re here every week and wonder if we will do it again, the answer is yes. Our souls need to be reminded every single day of what we believe and the foundation of which we stand. These words shape who we are.
