Pardon

Wonderful news! Better Together roars to life this Sunday. Our students have their first meeting in their new student ministry space at 9:30 am this Sunday. The congregation is invited for self-guided tours from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The North Portico also opens this Sunday. (However, it will remain closed during the week for 2-3 more weeks.) We are tremendously pleased for this moment. The costs of the Asbury Students Center and the North Portico are completely covered because of your generous giving.

Our first Sunday in Lent focused on giving praise to God. Praising God is THE essential part of our faith. Everything begins and ends with the worship of God. Since we want all people to know God's great love, kindness, grace, and pardon—we are on a mission to Help Others Follow Jesus. We have the great privilege of helping others experience God's great abundance. During Lent, we encourage you to create small groups or use your existing groups to pray for those you know who may not be following Jesus. We want this to be the focus of our prayers. Additionally, we encourage you to join us in the “Wesley Fast." This is abstaining from solid food from Thursday dinner until Friday dinner (or switch days). Use the time normally spent for eating to pray.

Isaiah 55 is a sermon series in and of itself. We will be looking at this, one of my favorite chapters in the entire Bible, on Sunday. The message will focus on the word "Pardon.” More and more people are returning to worship. We are eager to see you in person again. Something special happens when people meet together to worship God. As Isaiah 55 begins: "COME." You are invited to come, too.

    Monday: Isaiah 55
    Tuesday: 2 Chronicles 7:11-18
    Wednesday: Psalm 51
    Thursday: Psalm 130
    Friday: 1 Timothy 1:12-17
    Saturday: 1 John 1:5-10
    Sunday: Isaiah 55

    See you Sunday,

    Tom Harrison
    Senior Pastor
