DISCIPLESHIP COMMUNITIES

Discipleship Communities

We humans were not made to do life alone – the beginning of Genesis is a testament to that. God created us to be in relationship with both Him and one another. Joining a Discipleship Community at Asbury fulfills God's intention of relationship and community for us.

Simply put, we love living life together at Asbury. Joining a community within Asbury is the perfect way to connect into the life of the Church, continue growing in your relationship with Jesus and have a genuine support system with fellow believers.

As a multi-generational church – no matter what age, life stage or point in your relationship with Jesus you're in – you belong here and we have a community for you. Each community is unique, yet provides opportunities to learn, laugh, serve, pray, cry, celebrate and have fun with one another. At the end of the day, you'll truly be able to call your Discipleship Community your Asbury family.

Explore the options listed below and find a place to connect. You'll grow your faith, draw closer to Him, and strengthen your ability in Helping Others Follow Jesus.

Sonrisers

Meet Every Sunday, 7:45 am at Asbury's Room 2500

This class focuses on members’ common interest in the inductive form of Bible study, with interactive teaching that is always open to questions and group discussion. We study complete books of the Bible with an emphasis on answering these three questions:

  1. What does the passage say?
  2. What does it mean?
  3. How is that meaning to be lived out in our daily lives?

If dedicated learning of Scripture is important to you, give us a try. This is what makes us unique. We also place strong emphasis on missions and actively support an indigenous pastor and his ministry in Myanmar. We are mostly people with grandchildren; both singles and couples.
