Join us again this Saturday for Asbury’s distribution of the Farmers to Families Food Box Program!
You might be wondering, “What exactly is Farmers to Families”? We can gladly refresh your memory or introduce you. Farmers to Families, through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is a program benefiting farmers and preventing the waste of agriculture products. Asbury has and will receive a FULL tractor-trailer filled with fresh dairy and produces boxes to take home and enjoy.
“What's the catch?” There is none! This is not a needs-based program, so anyone can pick up and enjoy a FREE box. All you have to do is drive thru the line and one of our volunteers will place a box in your vehicle. You can even request additional boxes to share with your family, friends, neighbors, someone quarantined or those in need. Talk about an easy and fun way to help others follow Jesus! We do ask you to use personal judgement on what you’re comfortable doing, especially when giving food to those outside of your personal quarantine. And don’t forget – this is fresh, perishable food! Make sure you have a plan for refrigeration or to give away within hours.
“What else do I need to know?” You will receive an Asbury card with the message of Jesus to accompany your boxes; however, the Asbury prayer team will be on site and would love to pray with you after your food is loaded– if you would like.
See you on Saturday, Asbury Family!
