Many of you know the United Methodist Church has been less than “united” for some time. Our division isn’t just about human sexuality, but also includes theological differences on the Authority of Scripture, Salvation and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We feel the division is way too deep and has gone on too long.... and we would like to stop arguing about this matter.

Join us on April 18 at Asbury Tulsa as the President of the WCA (Wesleyan Covenant Association), Keith Boyette, addresses issues about the proposed changes and the future of the UMC; while hosting a Q&A session afterward.

Topics will include:

  • Where we're going with the Global Methodist Church (GMC),
  • Benefits of aligning with the GMC,
  • How that process works,
  • a Timeline,
  • Obstacles,
  • Why churches need to wait for the protocol, and
  • Which churches are gaining support globally.

Asbury Family: This is a critical point in the life of Asbury’s alignment with a denomination. Many changes are being proposed about the future of Methodism and we want to keep you informed as we move forward.
