Tour Itinerary:

Catoosa | The Blue Whale: We’ll see the newly updated historic landmark along Rt 66 and have time for exploring the site and fun photo opportunities.

Drive through Tulsa on Route 66. We will get to view old motels (a few still in operation), neon signs, restaurants, art deco architecture, and the iconic Route 66 gateway sculpture at Cyrus Avery Plaza on the west side of Tulsa.

Sapulpa | Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum. As we arrive, notice the World’s Tallest Gas Pump! The museum features classic vintage cars, racing memorabilia, and military history exhibits.

Stroud – Rock Cafe for Lunch. This iconic roadside diner was constructed out of native stone excavated when Route 66 was paved. It survived a devastating fire in the mid-2000s, but continues to serve locals and travelers alike.

Arcadia | Round Barn and Pops Soda Ranch. The Round Barn is more than a century old, built in 1898 using native bur oak boards soaked while green and forced into the curves needed for the walls and roof rafters. Its restoration was completed in 1992 and is the only round barn on Route 66. Just a few minutes from the barn is Pops Soda Ranch, pairing an ultramodern diner and filling station with a selection of more than 700 soda flavors. The 66-foot-tall steel soda pop out front lights up the spot every night, but is also impressive in daylight hours.

Chandler | Route 66. Interpretive Center Located in the historic National Guard Armory, the center emphasizes the life that “The Mother Road” instilled. Experience a visually entertaining “drive” from the 1920’s through current-day Oklahoma through an array of videos forming the sights and sounds along the way.
TRIP COST: $60 Lunch on your own
