Asbury’s Marriage Ministry understands that it’s crucial to start a marriage with a firm foundation, but the work doesn’t stop at “I do.” Life throws many ups...kids, vacations, job promotions….and downs….fluctuating finances, unexpected illness and aging parents. One of the most important steps in our lifelong discipleship model is Marriage Milestones! At Asbury, we believe your commitment to your spouse reflects your dedication to being followers of Jesus Christ. To honor your intentional Christ-like commitment, we celebrate by:
- Recognizing Marriage Milestones (50+ years) every week in our worship services,
- Setting aside one Sunday in April to honor Asbury couples (married 50+ years) in the 9:30 worship service with a delicious brunch to follow, and...
- Printing 5-year milestone anniversaries in the quarterly Tidings magazine.

Couple-to-Couple Ministry
Every great success requires preparation! Asbury’s Couple-to-Couple ministry provides engaged couples with the opportunity to interact with trained marriage advocates who have faithfully endured marriage in a Christ-like manner.
Couples meet for 4-8 sessions before their wedding to discuss what makes a strong, lifelong Christian marriage. Conversations are strictly confidential. Topics include: expectations, goals, finances, in-laws, roles and responsibilities, communication, intimacy and conflict resolution.
Please note: All couples whose wedding is officiated by an Asbury pastor must participate in Couple-to-Couple.

Couple's Date Night
We encourage married couples to never stop dating each other, which is why Asbury offers Couple’s Date Night several times a year! Combining fun, food and giveaways, couples enjoy quality time with one another while meeting other couples at Asbury. Date Night is also the perfect opportunity to invite a non-church couple to Asbury.

Weekend to Remember
Every February, Asbury couples attend Weekend to Remember, a getaway hosted by FamilyLife Ministries at a beautiful South Tulsa hotel. A weekend filled with marriage experts, relevant teachings and lots of laughter, couples invest in and strengthen the foundation of their marriage — whether it’s firm, fragile or completely fragmented.
Couples learn how to:
- Address issues as they arise
- Express feelings positively
- Resolve conflict in a healthy way
- Forgive freely, and...
- Increase commitment
The result? A deeper level of intimacy, a strengthened friendship and a Christ-focused love that will go the distance.

Wedding
After consulting with the wedding coordinator and upon payment of a $100 deposit (refundable for cancellation up to six (6) months prior to the wedding date), your wedding date is confirmed on Asbury’s calendar. All couples desiring to marry at Asbury will need to establish the date on the church calendar a minimum of three (3) months prior to the wedding.
Weddings in the Chapel
- Member: $600
- Non-Member: $750
- Deposit Required. Fee includes wedding coordinator, sound technician and security guard.
Receptions in the Parlor Foyer
- Member: $475–$1,500
- Non-Member: $800–$2,000
- Fee Includes maintenance and security guard.
